The Venue
Acoustic Coffee is a family friendly, non-smoking,
non-alcoholic venue.
We do not charge a cover fee and thus can't pay a performance
fee.
However, we do strongly encourage our customers to support
the musicians with tips, donations, and CD purchases.

The Town
Edenton is a small town (just over 5000 people) on
the Albemarle Sound in Northeastern North Carolina. We are
a farming, boat building, and retirement community. The
Acoustic Coffee audience includes Chowan County natives,
for whom the coffee house experience is relatively new,
as well as people who have chosen to retire and/or relocate
in "the south's prettiest town" and are accustomed
to live entertainment venues. You can expect the majority
of your audience to be retirees and baby boomers.

The Equipment
We offer a good size raised stage area with performance
lighting. We have an in-house sound system that meets the
needs of most performers and groups. We feel that the house
is too small for full drum sets, but small drum kits have
been used successfully. Performers are asked to arrive between
5:30PM and 6:00PM whenever possible to provide plenty of
time for set up and a complete sound check. We believe in
providing the audience with a well-balanced, well-toned,
enjoyable sound.
