I've always had an affinity for working with computers, and a curiosity for how they work.
As a musician and artist, I've also always had a strong creative sense.
These talents, when combined with my love for working with people and my passion for the internet
and web sites that work while being easy to use set the stage for the perfect recipe.
A balance of a level of creativity that breeds innovation, the technical ability to execute and realize my ideas,
and a desire to work with people to help them expand their business with a web site that captures people's attention.
An avid internet user myself, I was often dissatisfied with many web sites and the way they
worked (or didn't) and their lack of intuitiveness. So I took a series of classes from a
computer learning center who, after seeing how quickly I learned and excelled at the topics taught,
offered me a job as an instructor. So I taught web design concepts, technologies, and software for
about three years while vastly improving my own skills and knowledge.
Then, after growing tired of showing other people how to create innovative web sites,
I decided it was time to start creating them myself.
After designing and developing a web site for a local coffee shop (Acoustic Coffee in Edenton, NC)
and receiving much praise for it's inviting design and layout and ease of use,
I started talking to other local businesses about building web sites for them.
The rest, as the cliche goes, is history!
